Hot or iced?

Our iced matcha is finely ground premium matcha mixed and poured over milk and ice, delivering a refreshing and smooth beverage perfect for any time of the day. Served as 12oz. Both come with whole, skimmed, oat or coconut milk, so choose by the weather.
Matcha with protein
Matcha Vanilla Protein (£4.25): A smooth blend of earthy matcha and rich vanilla, combined with high-quality protein for a deliciously nutritious boost. 32g of protein, 305 cals, served as 16oz. The protein is not vegan. It is on the protein shakes list on our menu.

Matcha questions
Is iced matcha stronger than hot matcha?
Not unless you ask for it. Both are made with our matcha and your choice of milk, and the iced one is poured over ice. If you like it stronger, add an extra matcha when you order.
What is a dirty matcha?
A matcha latte with a shot of espresso poured through it. It is not on our menu today, so ask at the counter and we will tell you whether we can make one.
Matcha or coffee before a workout?
Whichever you prefer. Matcha, coffee and protein shakes are all made to order from 6am on weekdays, so you can grab one before training and a shake after.
Can I have my matcha dairy free?
Yes, for our hot and iced matcha lattes: choose oat or coconut milk when you order, at the counter or online. Whole and skimmed milk are there too. For the Matcha Vanilla Protein shake, ask at the counter about the protein, which is not vegan.
Do you do flavoured matcha?
Yes. You can add a flavour to a hot or iced matcha, and our Salted Maple and Caramel Pecan drinks come as a matcha too. Today's flavours and prices are listed above.
Can I order my matcha ahead?
Yes. Order online and collection times start about 10 minutes later. Collect from the counter at The Bee Hive Cafe, inside ION Strength & Conditioning.
Where do I park?
Parking is free. There are spaces on site, a car park and street parking close by, and benches outside if you want to drink your matcha in the sun.
Do I need to be a gym member?
No. The Bee Hive Cafe is open to everyone, not only ION members, and you don't need a membership or a pass. The cafe is at the entrance of ION Strength & Conditioning.
What time can I get a matcha?
Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6:00 to 14:15, Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 to 13:00, and Saturday and Sunday 7:00 to 10:30.
Your matcha is made by Bailey Stagner, owner of The Bee Hive Cafe, and her team.
